I'm new to the grazing style of catering, can you explain the difference between all the options?

Grazing is the latest trend in event catering. Grazing tables, boards and/or boxes make event food elegant, interesting, interactive, playful and incredibly pretty.

* Our grazing boxes are a portable option perfect for bringing on a picnic or offering as a gift. These are presented on an biodegradable palm leaf plate/platter that easily slides in/out of a clear top cardboard box, and are ready to be enjoyed upon delivery.

* Our grazing boards are presented in beautiful life-edge wooden boards, wooden trays and/or biodegradable palm leaf platters with all necessary serving vessels and utensils. Grazing boards, bowls and knives are on a loan basis and will be pick up the following day.

* And finally, grazing tables: our most popular and definitely most impactful option. These show-stopping feasts are set up at your event location. Most suitable for gatherings of 25+ people.

Set up time are anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on table size and food options. Boards, platters, bowls, serveware, biodegradable plates/flatware/napkins, foliage and fresh florals are included in this option. Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver throughout the Greater Vancouver area. For clients in North Vancouver delivery is complimentary. A small delivery fee is added to all other areas. Delivery fee is determined by distance.

Do you offer Pick Up?

Absolutely! Pick ups are from our location at North Shore Commissary Kitchen at 222 MacKay Road in North Vancouver. Just click that option on your checkout page when ordering.

How long are your boards and boxes good for?

We package your order as close to delivery/pick up time as possible. We recommend all boards and boxes to be enjoyed within 2 hours, or they can be refrigerated for up to 12 hours.

Do you cater for food intolerances and/or preferences?

Yes!
All of our offerings can be made fully gluten free, nut free, vegan and/or vegetarian. We are also happy to offer kid-friendly, themed and/or preferred options as part of our services. Feel free to email us at hello@foliaevents.com with your enquiries.

How long before our event do we need to order?

We appreciate orders for our boards and boxes to be placed at least 48 hours in advance. For larger orders, grazing tables, Brie number/letter/symbol and/or cheese wheel cakes we require at least 1 week in advance. Please email us at hello@foliaevents.com to discuss your event’s needs and/or time limitations. We are happy to accommodate whenever possible.

How do I know what I'll be getting on my table, board or box?

We have a general guideline that we follow but we let seasons and freshness be our guide. We are always sourcing new products and never know what kind of amazing local product we will find and share with you.

Do you do custom orders?

Absolutely! We love being creative and working with different themes, foods and ideas. From kid-friendly to themed food options, we are always excited to try new things. Feel free to connect with us at hello@foliaevents.com to discuss your vision.

Do you take care of set up and take down?

* Set-up and Take-down on-site is included in our Grazing Tables packages.
Set up times depend on party size, venue and props/decor used. We estimate a minimum of 2 hours for set up. Takedown usually takes 1 - 2 hours.

* Ready to serve drop off available upon request if on-location set up is not possible.

* Next day takedown is available upon request (extra fees may apply).  Please email us at hello@foliaevents.com for more details.

 

Do you offer cleanup?

We don’t. Clean up needs to be arranged by you. We do request that all our wooden boards, platters, plates, glasses and serving utensils be wiped down prior to pick up. We will take care of sanitizing them upon return.

What if I need to cancel my order?

For boxes and/or boards order cancellations, we require a minimum of 24 hours. For larger orders and/or events we require a minimum of ONE week’s notice. * Please note that failing to follow our cancellation policies may incur a penalty. Deposits made at time of booking are not refundable.

What about returns?

Sorry, we are not able accept returns on our food items.

I’m concerned about the environment and don’t want to create more waste.

So are we! We are committed to using locally and ethically sourced products. All our boxes, trays, boards and serving ware are made from Pine, Bamboo, fallen Palm leaves, cardboard paper, Copper or Stainless Steel and are fully compostable, reusable and/or recyclable. We are proud to use minimal plastic and have minimal wastage in our food preparation.

Are you insured and food safe certified?

Yes, we are fully insured and certified by the VCH Public Health Agency and abide by all rules and regulations. All our work is done out of a certified food commissary kitchen.
